⬆️ Main interest in the GOAT Tool, was fairly specific… To create a UK legal multitool. Set it up with a minimal tool set (safety cutter, scissors, bit driver, reamer, cap lifter). Wasn’t so interested in changing the tool set every day.
In the end, got fed up with the GOAT’s lack of customer support. Compared with the outstanding Leatherman support, realised (with a little dremelling and two security torx bits) I could just replace the Curve blade with the GOAT safety cutter and get a much more quality tool.
Went for the Curve because it didn’t have a bunch of other locking cutting tools (UK *security theatre* laws). The non-locking reamer is also a fairly good box cutter anyway. I also have the safety cutter in ‘Satin’ but wanted it black & contrasting, to make it obvious this wasn’t a normal bladed Leatherman set up.
Compared to the basic look and feel of the GOAT, the leatherman is obviously a world apart. Engraving option also nice 😉 Getting this set up for the rest of the family now.
