I’d like some recommendations and advice if possible. I got my Wave+ a month ago. I’m a big fan of it so far. It lives in my work bag, but I had it out on a rainy hike last week.
It was lucky I did as I put a self-tapping screw through a 10-ply tire on my way out of the trail. However I noticed a few days later, the blade starting to show rust spots.
How can I remove the rust without ruining the blade and is there anything I can do to help prevent this from happening again?
Some extra context:
– I work and live on Atlantic Ocean waters, so a little salt is in the air.
– The sweated blade has a small rust spot or two, nothing substantial.
– All the internal tools seem fine.
– Besides a week in my pocket, it mostly stays in the sheath, in my bag.
– It was out on one dry hiking day, but in its sheath in my hiking bag.
Thanks everyone.
