I removed the pocket clip and keyring loop just as a personal preference, but it works with them still installed.

The part is a simple but well measured 3D printed enclosure. It takes up almost no additional room as the walls are only 2mm thick. The idea is that as you store the tool in the enclosure with no bit installed, it friction fits and acts as a container. When you insert a bit, the handles are slightly further apart – now when you insert it, the enclosure exerts a tremendous amount of force on the handles, which clamps the bit securely in place. It also makes the tool feel like a proper screwdriver handle and is very comfortable to use!

I use the leatherman ratchet extender with my powerpint, but it will work with anything that fits the bit holder, and the circular hole at the end of the enclosure.
