I’ve been looking at their [IndieGogo](https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/goat-modular-multi-tool#/) page, and frankly I’m not convinced of the GOAT multitool.
– I know there are people modding tools out there, but I don’t think it’s high enough of a percentage of overall buyers of multi tools to get them anywhere.
– The design looks awfully bulky. The swapping latch mechanism will add at least 3-5mm to the tool width.
– Are power-users (people in trades, handymen, etc) really going to bother swapping implements out?
– The implements look no easier to access than other tools.
– Dealing with startup problems when it comes to getting the thing with no quality control issues and customer support concerns
I’m trying to keep an open mind though. Tell me why you believe GOAT is better than what Leatherman or Gerber or SAK have to offer.
