   Check out Esee, they make a skinner and have knives very similar to that one for a third of the price.

   I have heard the argument that their price includes stellar customer service

   But I mean… most companies in 2022 have decent customer service

   All of their knives are overpriced by ~40% imo. The bugout should not be 175 dollars. That is ludicrous when you can get a magnacut hogue deka for 95 dollars right now. NEW.

   All that being said… I still own 4 benchmades. I got them all used though, because getting them brand new is just stupid at this point.

    Yes, I’ve heard it be called the bufferfly tax. Good knifes I haven’t had a bad one yet though.

    If you like that style, check out the Becker BK16. Great knife, a lot cheaper.
