I found this and cleaned it right away after walking. No blood or anything only sticky, (probably soda or whatever idk even wanna know) . It's blade is locked idk anything about knives. Any ideas? (Ik the obvious answer is to put it back but idk my neighbors that well, let alone trust em due to loose dogs around my neighborhood and loose dogs terrify me)

Looks like a liner lock. Look between the scales to find it for sure but it’s probably this bit

A part of the frame is bent inwards. It is locking the blade from folding. Push it out from under the blade.
