I keep these things in a little open-top box on my bedside table. If I'm out of bed I put these into my pockets and carry them until I get back into bed.
I've tried to get my EDC down to something that works and keep it that way, I don't like to rotate out or mess around with things I'm carrying (which I know is part of the fun, but it's less expensive and I'm happy with this set up). The knife is a fold- out utility and I have a little box of 200 extra blades in my office so I can always have a clean, sharp edge. It also means that I can remove and discard the blade if I'm going somewhere it's not appropriate to have a sharp edge without having to sacrifice my entire knife.
The overall philosophy is that I have this on my body all day, if I'm leaving the house I also take a small Viperaide pouch with keys and other useful things like spork, pen and multi tool. This usually goes in a coat pocket or satchel. If I'm staying overnight anywhere I have another pouch that goes into a bag with a charger, a couple of USB cables and some other useful backup things like cable ties, larger notepad with emergency details pre-written, small first-aid kit, hair-tie for children etc.
Items are:
Garmin Fenix 6 pro with velcro strap.
Med Details bracelet. Metal plate with emergency details (Blood Type, emergency contact) on a velcro strap
Lifeventure X-Pac card wallet.
Inside wallet:
> Credit / Debit cards
> Rite in the rain On the Go notepad
> Loyalty card for coffee shop
> Driver's licence
> Cash
Phone case is a generic case for Pixel 9 (though I've put my work phone inside for this photo) with some Aurabesh detailing I've added.
Happy to answer any questions or hear any thoughts on my EDC. I know it's not stylish or perfect for every use case ever… But it's working for me, and has been for just under 2 years.
