Sft25r in mine, been carrying it every day since I got the short tube.  Such a kickass edc light!

It’s incredibly rare these days to see a good light at $20 or below. Usually you are just consigned to the worst of the worst when it comes to lights under $20.

With the one exception being Convoy. And the “good” qualifier here actually means something of value.

It’s rare to see a light like the S6/S7 that can come with a boost or buck driver, a good quality selectable LED that can be tailor-picked to do any task you’re needing, along with a high quality lithium-ion battery, and pay less than $30 for all of it.

It’s also why the Wurkkos FC11C is as revered as it is, particularly when you take into account all the features it has.

To me at least, the FC11C and the Convoy S21E are the two most value-rich lights that can be recommended to new users under $30.

I run mine with a B35AM in 5700k. Such a clean beam… Also sharp corners. Found I had to sand the lanyard corners a little as well as the knurling. I got a S6 in stonewash finish and found it to be pleasant to hold. Think the only way to make this better is a better clip and see if there’s a way to blue the steel!

Arrgh, I just put in a Convoy order, now I want to do another.

can I just buy this light somewhere and it puts out the same performance ? I don’t know jackshit about flashlights but wow, that light is crazy good for the size

Tooo good. I’m almost pulling the trigger on one with a SFT40 3000k and a W5050SQ5 4000k so I can swap it.

u/darek99 I love this set up! Can you help me with exactly what to ask Simon for or what website to use that allows one to select the host, emitters, buck driver, all in stainless?

Asking as I have been away from the flashlight game for a bit.

That is such a nice looking light! I may have to pull the trigger on one of those myself.

*Simon wondering why he’s suddenly getting flooded with orders for S7s*

  9. it definitely looks like an expensive light. This thing has it all! Looks, performance, and cost! I still haven’t picked up a stainless 18350 tube for mine. I kind wish he offered a smooth one, but I definitely get why it’s knurled.

Does the s7 come with the metal tail switch? I have the s6 in ss..and it has the rubber one.

For $20, Simon usually gives you a solid vessel, but in a place like Portland, stainless steel is only half the battle. I see potential points of Flashing Failure. That stainless bezel and the short tube junctions are essentially “control joints” for moisture.
