The Sonora shocked me. I was 100% convinced I'd hate it. It has 3 red flags all in one knife. I don't buy rear only flippers. I avoid knives running on washers (yeah yeah, bushings. Blah, blah, blah) and it's a button lock. 3 things I typically just don't enjoy. It's become one of my favorite knives.
The R2 has the best action I've ever felt on a knife after a little bit of tuning. It can be front flipped, rear flipped and reverse flicked off the blade. It's larger than I normally prefer but very thin and feels great in hand.
Both handle their primary purpose very well, cutting.
What's a knife you expected to buy and immediately sell but you ended up loving it?

Button locks done right are just fine. On budget Chinese knives, especially Civivi, buyers report a lot of problems. Washers work. That’s what Spyderco uses.
