I got some folded steel knives from an antique shop. They are thick and very heavy. this one has a handle made of horn. Previously read someones comment stating that the mosaic handle pins indicate pakimascus. It could be. Either ways what do you guys think about this one? any input is appreciated

    Well, it’s not going hold an edge (if at all) and I wouldn’t trust that thing around food.

    Pakistan Damascus, probably containing lead. Don’t use it on food. No value

    This one is interesting, While I agree that it’s probably a Pakistani blade I’m seeing a lot of features there that are a head scratcher. In particular the distal tang, and what appears to be brass liners on the scales. Makes me wonder if it was a blade blank that somebody built fairly nicely. Clearly whoever owned it carried it a lot and used little, but it’s likely to suffer all the sins of a typical Pakistani pattern welded steel..
