The wooden grip of my beloved kitchen knive got loose, so I pulled the blade out and cleaned both. What would you recommend to glue it back together? I thought of 2K Epoxy Glue or is there a better option?

Bonus question: does somebody know how to renew the black color on the upper side of the blade? I rubbed it off over the time due to cleaning light rust that came on. It's carbon steel so not rust-free.

For the nerds: it's a Eden Kanso Aogami 20cm

Any epoxy. JB weld. And I would use mustard and or vinegar to get it black again

It was probably friction fit. Have you kept the grip oiled? Changes in humidity probably caused it to loosen.

As for renewing the patina, you can force it with an acidic substance like mustard. The black is inactive rust, which helps protect from red, active rust.
