Got a message a few weeks back from a customer who'd seen a style of axe he loved – full scale pattern covering the entire handle, curved profile, aggressive geometry. He wasn't sure if it was even possible to do by hand.
We told him give us time.
Every single scale on this axe is hand carved individually. The curve of the handle is forged, not bent. High carbon steel, finished with a leather lanyard. No machine carving. Just tools and time.
He was happy. We were proud.
Posting here because honestly this community appreciates this kind of work more than anywhere else. Happy to answer anything about the process – the scale carving especially takes people by surprise when they hear how it's done.
