I bought a Spyderco Crucarta and have been trying to get the scales a deeper brown color and reveal the nice colors it has. This particular micarta comes rough as others have commented on the various reviews. I did a few coats of mineral oil overnight and that seemed to give me the desired outcome but it doesn't seem to last that long. Anyone have any suggestions who's familiar with Spyderco micarta? I didn't have this issue with flytanium micarta I got for my bugout.

Cutting board wax has worked good for me. It’s usually mixed with mineral oil. It will always gradually dry out and lighten though.
