This was a mod I had on the back burner for a while but I just never felt the impetus to try it yet. I wanted to make a Lume1 reflector 26800 pocketable light that had an RGB switch, but I couldn't figure out how to fit a breakout board inside such a small host to get the RGB switch and charging indicator to live together like I did in my JKK90S mod… So I waited for inspiration.
This uses an NBD110 4500k 90 CRI. A 11mm x 11mm LED like the SFP55, but with rosy tint that is my favorite LED ever. This LED made me want to finish this mod.
My previous Anduril reflector mod used an RGB-Orange 4 color Wurkkos TS11 switch, but that would not work here because the MT01 has a tiny driver cavity. Since I mostly leave Anduril in voltage display mode, I decided to use an Emisar RGB switch instead without charging light… Then I discovered that there was a little space around the reflector and just maybe I could put the charging LEDs in the cavity and let them shine through, while still having a nice bright RGB switch. It works to some degree, maybe not quite as awesomely as I hoped, but not a total fail – you can see the blue reflector highlights while it is charging.
The OP reflector is scavenged from a Haikelite AK01. For the AUX strip inside I used a flex board of thefreeman's design. To fit the driver I had to make some shims from yet more stolen flashlight parts…
I dare not say the things I had to do to get the reflector seated and centered and to work on reducing the bezel gap.
