Has this ever happened to anyone?
I opened the flashlight today only to discover the battery would not come out of the tail cap.
A disk magnet was holding it there.
I tried to put the magnet back in place, and couldn't.
It would just stick to the spring.
I used a pliers to attract and keep the magnet in its intended position.
Success!
But – when removing the pliers, the magnet would jump and attach itself to the spring.
Every single time.
Is there any (glue-free) solution to this situation?

these magnets are normally glued. in some flashlights the bottom of the spring acts as a retainer allowing you to remove or flip the magnet if needed.

in most lights tho they use Superglue / CA glue and this glue doesn’t always hold the magbet well due to the smooth plating

you can use CA glue or even better hot glue. not a bog deal. ive seen this with a lot more expensive lights
