I’ve been using the Wurkkos HD05 for a while now, and honestly — this is one of those lights that doesn’t really fit into a single category.

It’s not just a flashlight. It’s more like a multi-purpose lighting tool… and in real-world use, that actually makes a bigger difference than I expected.

First Impression & Build Quality

First thing I noticed: it feels surprisingly solid.

The machining is clean, anodizing looks even, and there are no sharp edges anywhere. It definitely gives off more of a “tool” vibe than a typical EDC light.

At around 235 g (with battery), it’s not exactly lightweight — but in this case, that actually adds to the overall feel of durability.

Design & Features (this is where things get interesting)

This light is packed with features:

• Main spotlight (up to 3100 lumens)

• Fold-out side light (“wing light”)

• Floodlight (warm & cool)

• Red light

• UV light (700–1600 mW)

The fold-out side light is honestly one of the best parts. It turns the HD05 into a proper work light, which is super useful for things like:

• working on a car

• indoor repairs

• camping setups

Another feature I didn’t think I’d use as much as I do: the magnetic tailcap + tripod mount.

Being able to stick it to metal or mount it completely hands-free is a game changer.

USB-C charging is included too, which is always nice.

Performance & Beam

The main beam has a good balance — not a pure thrower, but still plenty of reach (~335 m) for outdoor use.

Where this light really shines (no pun intended) is versatility:

• Spotlight → walking, outdoor use

• Flood / side light → work, close range

• Red / UV → niche, but genuinely useful

Instead of carrying multiple lights, this one kind of covers everything.

Runtime & Thermal

With the included 5000 mAh 21700 battery, runtime is solid.

Higher modes step down as expected, but it’s not aggressive or annoying. It feels pretty well regulated for a light in this category.

The Downsides (just to keep it real)

It’s not perfect:

• The UI can feel a bit busy at first because of all the modes

• Not the lightest option if you’re looking for something super minimal

That said, both are kind of the trade-off for having this much functionality in one light.

Value for Money

This is where it gets really interesting.

You’re not just getting a 3000+ lumen flashlight — you’re getting:

• multiple beam types

• UV + red light

• fold-out work light

• magnetic mounting + tripod support

• USB-C charging

For the price, that’s honestly hard to beat.

Conclusion

The Wurkkos HD05 feels less like a flashlight and more like an all-in-one lighting tool.

If you want something super minimal, this probably isn’t it.

But if you like versatility and actually use your lights for different situations, this thing makes a lot of sense.

Curious if anyone else here has used it — or similar multi-function lights?

Would you carry something like this, or do you prefer separate lights?
