NKD: I’m obsessed with the Spyderco Stretch 2, so I couldn’t resist when BladeHQ shadow-dropped a tiny batch of the discontinued special-edition Stretch 2 XL.

I was perusing listings for the Spyderco Stretch 2, one of my most-carried knives, when I saw the special-edition Stretch 2 XL (VG10 core Damascus steel + blue Nishijin glass fiber scales) was strangely in-stock. It's been out of stock for about two years.

I put it in my cart and checked out, thinking it was a computer error… and now I have one of the prettiest Spyderco knives I've ever seen in my possession. Why they didn't announce they had some in-stock, I don't know.
