I was watching the video above and honestly the "proof" is a bit lacking on Michael's claims. I just can't really wrap my head around why a weak tip wharncliffe design is better than anything else. I saw another one of his demos where he demonstrates using the "top" flat sharpened edge of a fighting Bowie to slash a piece of paper when his slashes with the main edge basically glanced off the paper.
Are people actually slashing with their knives? I thought people were generally just bun rushing you and shivving people in a a knife fight. Does it really even matter or justify the price of a yojimbo/microjimbo (some of spydercos most expensive knives by blade length)?
I think the design and lore for the blade seems cool but I can't help but feel like it's bullshido.
