It’s an old Ontario Knife machete. Vietnam era, most likely. Feels great in the hand. I could use a good machete for my yard. Definitely rough, but feels solid, still.

Maybe look up electrolysis, there are plenty of videos on YouTube of people restoring old tools. The rivet i don’t know much but you could probably also find some youtube tutorials on knife/machete restoring
