Hello I am looking for a battery for my olight as my stock battery that came it with finally died after 6 months of use. I prefer using AAA rechargeable batteries or a safe and reliable 10440 battery.
I get off work around 330am, by the time I'm off work it's really dark and I do walk home which takes about a hour or so. What would you recommend? I was told eneloops are good but people say they are a worse choice to go with.

I use Vapcell 10440 for mine
The Vapcel 10440 is probably your only choice if you want a Liion battery (will need a Liion battery charger).
For NiMh rechargeables, Eneloop has been recognized as the best choice since the day they came out. A NiMh battery will not be as bright as a Liion battery or throw as far. If you get the Eneloops, get the regular version – not the Pro.
I also use Fujitsu NiMh rechargeables. They are made in the same factory in Japan as Eneloops. I consider them to be equals. Amazon has both.
* Are you sure you don’t want a flashlight that uses a larger battery ? A half hour walk will use up a lot of a AA sized battery. I would suggest maybe a light that uses an 18650 battery. It will have about 10 times the capacity of a 10440 battery. Most of them will also have a USB-C charging port that is built-in. Just plug in your USB cord to recharge.

10440 will bump output to about 400 lumens
10440 is the best way to go. For what you use it for, even the 10440 with the usb c port on the side of the battery would suffice. No charger needed.
