My friend broke my ESEE 4 and bought me this 3V Master Hunter…

I borrowed my ESEE 4 to a friend who took it camping ans broke it day later while using it to try to free his axe from piece of wood…

Then he was apologetic, but kept quiet about what happened, then I told him I'm very patient with him, but my knife isn't here so he has to give me something… so he bought me this 3V Master Hunter instead of saying what happened. And he kept insisting brand new one is coming.

Met him this evening for a drink, I told him that shit happens and I know he wants to wait till a new one comes – and he finally spilled the beans.

So he broke it, and sent it in to get a new one. I told him I can give him back Master Hunter once it arrives, but he insists that I keep it, as an apology from him, as he broke the knife I had for 6 years and didn't tell me what happened right away.

He'll buy Fallkniven F1 next month so he'll no longer have to borrow.

And yes, we are still friends. In my opinion this is not a reason to end friendship, especially as he really did all he could to make things right. Had a laugh with him until his wife dragged him home.
