So I bought this Soviet light from Etsy and originally wanted to keep it reversible in modding it. That is until one of the switches broke and some of the components also caught fire RIP. that said all of the mods I did you can 100 percent run the original bulb off the same lithium battery pack as the leds.
The mods done are:
2 Brass replacement switches because the originals were broken. Plus a decorative metal cover to look nicer
a Lumencraft 2500 lumen maglightu drop in that has been cut short to fit in the light with a custom milled heat sink that fits in the front of the light.
A led replacement for the orange signal light and a driver board for the signal light that adds strobe and SOS so the signal light is more functional that originally.
And a custom battery pack utilizing 4 7000mah vapcell 26650s in parallel so in total the flashlight has 28000mah of capacity and running the lumencraft drop in on moonlight mode could run for about 144 days if I remember correctly.

Wow that’s really cool. I wish I could do something like what youve done with mine.
Quick googling give me two versions of intended use of this light:
1) camping/hiking
2) automotive (red light for emergency stops)
