The protech magic 2 is my favorite out of the bunch, it has a beautiful blue coating, and the feather texturing really suits it’s name, if you told me it was enchanted i might believe you. The gimmick opening mechanism really is the cherry on top, the top scale slides out with the right movement triggering the auto and it is so satisfying, it hits stupid hard too.
The magic 1 is much more practical for daily use, it’s the size of a bugout and it has the same gimmick opening. The bolster is tiffany blue too, and the fire power of the auto is quite a bit softer. The one downside is it’s coating is kinda pathetic and worn down so fast, but luckily i like that sort of wear so no harm.
The blade hq exclusive gec was the last to arrive, it sold out in minutes but i was ready for the drop. It’s a charming slipjoint, super big compared to other case knives I have. I don’t know how i feel about it exactly but so far it’s a keeper. It feels nicer and i like how it’s borderline a custom piece, I’m definitely in the cool slip joint hipster club now.
