Hi everyone! I’m a travel watercolor enthusiast. Lately, I’ve been obsessed with sketching and journaling on the go, but I’ve hit a constant frustration.
I’ve been searching for a way to integrate my watercolor paper, journal inserts, and daily essentials (passport, cards, pens) into one seamless system. Since I couldn’t find the perfect "crossbody journaling bag," I decided to sketch out my own ideal design.
The Concept: A multifunctional, portable organizer that keeps my 6-ring watercolor paper, TN inserts, and tools all in one place.
The Key Feature: The shoulder strap is attached to a removable zippered pouch. This means I can wear it as a crossbody bag for hands-free sketching, or detach the strap and use it as a modular organizer to slip into a larger backpack. The internal pouch is designed to hold all my go-to painting tools.
Whenever I see a beautiful view or have a sudden spark of inspiration, I don't have to stop and dig through my pack; I can just grab it and start creating immediately.
I’ve drawn a very simple sketch based on this idea (please excuse my rough drawing skills!). I’d love to hear your thoughts on this concept. Any suggestions to make it more functional? What would you add or change to make it the perfect travel companion?
Looking forward to discussing this with you all!
