Generally speaking, eh. I’ve never had a need for them but I know there are a good chunk of jobs / tasks that benefit from having serrations. I’ve thought about having a knife with some, though. You never know.

Depends. They are useful for some tasks. But I don’t like them at the lower part of blades meant for kindling making and other wood working. That lower part of the blade is what I mostly use for wood carving and I prefer a straight blade for that.

Nah, but I see the value in them, they do come in handy at times.
My only serrated knife is a cheap partially serrated $20-25 knife that I never carry, it just sits around the house and gets abused in all manner of unholy ways.
