Well rub with oil, steel wool the rust, then wash with hot soapy (dish soap) water, dry, then use flitz and a rag to polish them. Take a step further would be a buffing wheel with some buffing compound on it, probably use a green one, or a black.

That puma is worth some money. There is a guy on YouTube from Newfoundland Canada who does excellent work. The video I watch te cleaned up a similar condition puma.
