I have put these two through hell since I got them over a year ago. Rope, wire, cardboard, thousands of zip ties, tubing, fruit and even some meat (my hand thx to pm2), occasional whittling, sticker scraping, drywall, foil, hell even a few tin can tops. They’ve been amazing from day one. Spyderco PM2 in Rex76, and Bridgeport Knife co 1827 (rip) in 20CV. The PM2 has held up phenomenally as expected. RGT Brewhawk backspacer has opened hundreds of beers at this point. The Rex76 has been amazing, I truly have no idea how people consider this chippy or difficult to work with. Literally an extra 15min of sharpening is all it’s taken to get this thing back to a mirrored edge that holds for months at a time depending on use. The 1827 has also been amazing. The DLC coating has started to wear slightly thanks to cardboard and tubing more than anything, but touching the edge up has been super approachable and while I haven’t had any chips in it, the few rolls have been fairly quick to strop out. The action was incredible after installing skiffs, but eventually the drop on it became a little sketchy and sounded like it was bouncing off of the backspacer. Gave it a good clean and touch up last month and it’s back to golden. Rambling over: what are the “nicest” or most “high end” knives that you guys are willing to use?? What are your favorite super steels or builds that you’re happy to cut daily with?? Thanks yall!
