I just got back from Sedona. I found this bad boy at a "higher end" souvenir place east of town. The lady had a great story about a 87 year old native guy making these in his garage. $120. The sheath is legit cowhide but knife materials are dubious. Grind way off center at tip. I got it up to paper cutting sharp but not super happy with it. Im going to edc it until I get my next.

Absolutely Pakistani, and you absolutely got ripped off with a classic line of bullshit. It’s usually a “veteran” or a “native” “making” these knives that look EXACTLY like mass produced Pakistani crap. They’re common criminals and nothing else.
I’m thinking this is absolutely legit. It doesn’t jump out at me and scream Pakistan. It’s not pakimascus, no stereotypical back edge filework, the handle seems done differently, he has tool marks through his pins that I don’t see on Pakistan knives. So I did some research. The dude seems legit. I can find multiple AZ souvenir shops talking about him and his knives. And let’s put it this way, if this was a made up person, I don’t think they would make up an Ojibway knife maker living in Arizona, they would have made him from a local tribe, not one half a country away.

IMO the edge looks horrendous for someone who makes 120 dollar knives….
Pak.
Along the length of Interstate 10 through Arizona and New Mexico there are multiple “trading post” gift shops owned by the same company that all sell these knives.
Sorry to disappoint you, but they’re trash.
