Howdy! Starting this off by saying I know you can buy another one online for $40. Found it at an estate I cleared out for a client. That being said: a good friend said it looks like they ground down tip and shortened it a little. Because of that the edge plays peek a boo when closed. Still sharp so not a good idea to have in my pocket. So the question is this… anyway to fix it where the tip of the blade isn’t exposed when closer?

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head. Looks like it was sharpened to within an inch of its life.
They’re either sharpened the hell out of that thing or the tip got damaged and they reprofiled it. I’m not exactly Cpt. Knife Safety 100% of the time, but I wouldn’t carry that in my pocket with that much expose of the blade.

My thought would be to grind it down even further into a sheepsfoot type shape until there is no more blade sticking out. Could be a fun thing to experiment with if you don’t care too much about the knife.
You could put the tip back on it too but it’d take a bit more work and you’d lose even more metal.
Not worth the time it. Put it on a shelf to be seen
