I got these hunting knives made for me but he threw in this little yellow stick I'm assuming it's a kinda wet stone?
Also does anyone know if these little half circles cut out the bottom have a use at all?

Circle cut outs are called choils. Used for sharpening on certain devices. And yes, its probably a stone of strop with it
See the sharp vertical line in the blade just behind where the knufe blade ends? That is called the ricasso. Just forward of that there is a tiny little notch in the blade. This is called the sharpening choil. This allows you to sharpen the blade and not damage the ricasso. The semi circles you speak of behind the ricasso are probably just decorative.
