Bought at fleemarket for 2 euro.
Liked the handle and blade shape.
Feels more like a robust Opinel or similar.
Dunno if it's dirt or carbon patina.
Will sand and oil it in.
Trying to identify the manufacturer and model.
Did image search and it say Gerlach-Poland.

Very nice find at any rate. That’s carbon steel. I wouldn’t sand it, just use a lighter abrasive like a bit of kitchen sponge with oil already applied.
