Hi everyone. Many years ago when I was in the Army, I found thisSurefire R1 Lawman rolling around in the back of Humvee while moving vehicles around in the motor pool before a deployment. Gear adrift is a gift, as they say.
Since then, I’ve been keeping this flashlight in my pick up truck as a handy utility light. However, it seems that I have to replace the batteries in this flashlight quite often, and I no longer have an unlimited supply of CR123s.
My suspicion is that the system that handles the rechargeable battery (which I don’t have) and the light mode (low, medium, high) button has a slow drain.
Is there any way to disable this? I just needed it to be a simple flashlight. My P1 with a Malkoff head does not suffer from this.
