The main bag is slightly modified to secure the aux bag in a way that it doesn't flop about and is still quick to detach. The mod also allows over packing or attaching another bag as a floating lid. That's something I might do once I get the mid sized hip bag from Savotta. For now I rarely do it with my current aux bag, since it's a bit too wide for it.
