I’m currently debating between three Kershaw knives. I’m new to the premium knife game and looking for opinions. I get discounts on Kershaw knives, so I’m trying to stick to the brand. All three options have Magnacut blades. I currently only have a Bugout in the “premium” category. Just looking for another good EDC option to add to the collection.

Bareknuckle all day long. I have one of the OG Bareknuckle and have bought and given away 3 Bel Airs. I love both of them. I will be getting another Bel Air eventually. I wouldn’t give my Bareknuckle away.

  2. I don’t have the Bareknuckle, but the Bel Air is one of my favorites. I own 4 of them.

I have too many crossbar locks and been trying to stay away from omega springs, so I’ve been really liking the new button lock iridium. It’s not on your list, but it also has a magnacut blade and same price range.

Not sure what your discount is or how it works, but Kershaw and ZT are both owned by Kai. So my first thought was: for that price point you might consider looking at the ZT offerings.

But if you are only able to look at those kershaws, my pick would be the Bel Air

The Bel Air clip is beautiful and incredibly fun. But the tip is very fine and causes me anxiety. That said, for piercing and slicing it’s phenomenal.

The Bareknuckle looks way beefier. Longer, thicker, still Magnacut. I’d love to give it a try as an only knife on a camping trip.

I’m sure both will have great feel. Kershaw are nailing the action on the dura lock.

If it helps sway decisions, Bel Air is around $80, Bareknuckle is around $100, and iridium is around $92.
