As cool as it is, all the posts in this sub are exactly the same set of items but in different colors. I'm now wanting people to post obscure questions and ridiculous/unique EDC gear because it's getting really mundane here…

I've used this kit more times than I can count because of situations where I pickup the kids after work and a 5 minute detour sometimes leads to a full blown meltdown.

Agree. It’s lacking real down to earth Every Day Carry. IMO EDC is not about collection pieces, but more about the things that actually get used. I keep searching for original content in this sub all the time, because the actual feed is kinda disappointing.

Brand new parent brings along a Sherpa to carry all the extra needed supplies. This looks like the carry of a parent who’s been through this stage a few times 🙂
My stuff isn’t really obscure, changes a bit depending on the day, and is fairly minimal, because I don’t like cross body bags or bulging pockets. Like my core stuff is my AirPods, but only when walking the dog or at work, a Parker Jotter at work, one of two watches, a brown front pocket wallet, keys that have a pair of nail clippers (and maybe a small Vic), my iPhone 14 (Shivan dragon spirit animal wedged in the case)+ work phone when at work (iPhone 15), and that’s about it. Wedding band, plus a ring from my dad I’ve taken to wearing in the last couple weeks.
My EDC rarely changes:
PowerTac Scholar with RovyVon A4Ti mod
Custom LM Charge
Bull Brand butane lighter with LED
Wallet: Fresnel lens, Band Aids and Victorinox SwissCard

The purpose of EDC is to have the tool that you need when you need it. The purpose of r/edc is to have a chris reeves knife that you spent 2000 bucks on that never gets used.
