Looking to get a Spyderco PM2 and I’m unsure if I wanna go with the DLC (black “Diamond Like Coating”). Sure, it looks good but how easily will it get scratched up and show scarring? I don’t go on any covert operations at night, so I’m not concerned about light reflection but I do think it looks cool. Thoughts or experiences with it?

Its dlc its not like paint that gets scratches easily. Its got a high HRC and is pretty resistant to scratching.
Its not impervious to it i have some marks on my para 3 but its from a diamond hone.

  3. If you want your knife to always look like new don’t get the DLC

I don’t own one but I want this knife in dlc… it just fits that role and aesthetic to me for some reason. Kind of a grail want for me for almost 3 years now.
