So I’ve been looking at these two for a while now, and I’ve been leaning towards the Esee Izula 2 (planning on doing a paracord wrap and getting an ulti clip to carry. I’ll also scout carry with the clip plate. ) Never had a fixed blade and heard great stuff about this one, but I keep second-guessing myself and looking at this Spyderco… If anyone has a recommendation, it is greatly appreciated! (Please have good stuff to say about the Izula in S35VN, lmao.) Thanks for reading this and hope you have a great day/night.

Izula, absolutely
I carry one and they’re very stout
As someone who owns both, and multiple Para 3’s in fact, my preference would be the Izula. I have big hands, so I bought extended scales for mine, but it is one of my most reliable and best bang for the buck fixed blades (and I own many).
One thing to be aware of, the hardware that comes with the ulticlip will likely not be long enough for the Izula’s stock sheath (if I remember right from mine). You’ll want to together their [Combo Head Screw Kit](https://amzn.to/4coEYH8) which has an assortment of longer and shorter screws. I ended up getting an aftermarket sheath anyway and now carry appendix crossdraw, but it’s not a bad pocket carry knife either.
If you like the design of the Izula, I will toss out the [White River Knives M1](https://amzn.to/4rdAOql) as what I think is a slightly improved take on the general design. I like the Izula, but if I could only have one of the two, it would be the M1.
All of that being said, I’m also biased because I much prefer fixed blades for EDC.
Izula all day. Its design is also way less “menacing” if you actually whip it out in public as an EDC tool.
Izula. I’ve been eyeing the s35 one for a bit now because I love my izula 2 so much.
I love my Izula. I bought it for when a small knife is more appropriate, but it has become my go-to. I carry it more than a folder.
Izula II all the freaking way holmes
