Tuch Knives Umpqua – this one has the Tuch’s patented dual hidden release automatic mechanism.
Tom Mayo/Lee Williams Kickstop horizon – this one has Lee Williams’ kickstop flipper tab which disappears into the handle when deployed.
Hawk Knives Deadlock – the hawks developed a new dual-action mechanism for the deadlock which completely eliminates blade play. Microtech has this now too with their zbp knives, but the Deadlock was first.
Winterbladeco Factor – this crazy thing uses magnets for the detent, as well as magnets in the lock mechanism
Lionsteel Tidust – manufactured using direct metal laser sintering, a 3d printing-like process where a laser is fired into a bed of powdered titanium to build up the handle shape layer by layer
VC Edge Interface – lightweight in the extreme, there’s carbon fiber everywhere including most of the blade.
Stan Wilson Non-flipper flipper – Stan’s NFF deployment mechanism has been around a while now but still so far outside the norm that I had to include it
Sandrin Dellatore – with a blade of polyhedral tungsten carbide instead of steel, at 71hrc
