Gerber Earned a Fan

A few weeks back I posted here asking if anyone knew where I could get a replacement clip for my Evo, since the auto-reply from my Gerber e-mail indicated they wouldn't get to my request for 8-10 weeks.

They got back to me and said they couldn't help with the clip or a dorect replacement since the knife is no longer made. So they offered me a $45 credit to their online store.

I chose the Affirm. I'm not positive yet if I'll carry it or keep going the Evo route for longer, but it's about the same knife as you can see in the photos. All that is an aside to the main point:

Gerber earned a lifetime backer with their willingness to replace my Evo. It was a classy move they did not need to make.
