



The metalwork is true relief engraving (not just surface shading) — deep cuts, undercut edges, and a ton of texture to make the animals “lift” off the steel. Then the handle is mammoth ivory with scrimshaw so fine it was done under a microscope. Up close it’s ridiculous… from arm’s length it still reads clean.

Personally I don’t enjoy the looks on these kinds of display knives. But wow the craftsmanship of this is astonishing. Is this your work? How long did it take you to finish this masterpiece? Really amazing!
