Does anyone happen to have any type of reference or information about this pocket knife. I’ve tried to do research and have come up empty.

I found this knife in my Grandpa’s house after he died.

It’s an electricians style pocket knife but I’m unsure of the dates. I have not seen any records or examples of a Schatt&Morgan Knife of this style. My guess was a private purchase pocket knife. Hard to picture but it has a faint engraving of the letters “BSM” (not my grandpa’s initials). I know it’s old though probably from the 40’s or 50’s

He was a WW2 Veteran and my consensus has always been that he had it during the war-possibly got it from one of his buddies/soldiers or something of the sorts. (BSM might have been initials of the original owner). It would’ve been useful to him because of his job. Half of his combat experience he was the Assistant Regiment communications officer and later a Bn Communications Officer in the Infantry. I know that This style of pocket knife was common especially in communications/signal corps roles-most notably as the military issued TL-29 pocket knives.

Any information helps, thank you!
