Yesterday the YT algo threw my way a review of the Nitecore EC22 with its beautiful infinitely variable brightness control wheel, but sadly it is discontinued. Are there any currently available similar EDC lights with such a control wheel?

Not a control wheel, per se, but the Jetbeam Raptor RRT01 also comes with the XP-L emitter as one of its options. Default, it comes with a protected 18350 battery, but you can also purchase it with extension tubes to use it in an AA/NiMH/14500/18500 config, or as an 18650 config (do make sure it’s button top and protected).
