I'll start with declaring, I am in no way a flashlight enthusiast, but it is very much a tool of my trade, and I certainly do appreciate a value priced tool that can hold up to the job.

I work as an inspector in Food Safety & QA, as such an inspection light comes out of my pocket dozens of times a day. I've been using my current flashlight (LUXPRO LP290) for better than 5 years, then it began acting up on me. I later found out it was easily fixed by just stretching the battery coil spring back out.

That first LUXPRO flashlight survived so much abuse and drops onto concrete floors, that I actively shopped for the exact same model and ended up with the V3. I'm curious if the quality went down with the redesigns. (Although now that the original is working again, a part of me wants to see just how long I can keep it in service.)

So after sharing this small success story, I'd also like to ask for suggestions for a future upgrade. By that I mostly mean a recharge port (ideally USB-C)

I would need to fall in the 5-7" (130-180mm) length ballpark and rear button as I basically reach for my left chest zipper pocket and pull the light out with my "finger on the trigger".
