Just got this today. It seems really nice; but there are a couple things about the handle scales I don't love. (1) It seems really slick for micarta. I was anticipating it wouldn't be so smooth. (2) The blade end of the scales are blocky AF. I prefer some taper in this location.
Should I grind some taper into them and maybe sand the rest of the scales with some rough paper to bring out some grippage? 🤔 LMK if you've done this, and what your results are please.

Not sure about your question but beautiful knife!
Personally, I like the contour of those scales as is! Sweet pokey stick!
