That is a wall hanger or in this case parade/dress knife not a user. Don’t carry that with the intent to use it as a knife it’s just jewelry/visual.

With it not having any sort of loop your most likely going to have to attach a loop or get a new sheath if your dead set on carrying this knife. I know you wanna carry it but this is a decorative knife there are many other options that would be easier to carry and stick out less to people. Something like the esee izula.

This is not a knife you carry with you, if you decide to actually carry it, you will learn why. Mount it in your home if it means something to you but it’s a 20 dollar knife that is very poor quality.

For what? The Renaissance Faire? This is a nerd wall-hanger. Are you doing a DnD larp or something?

This is a fantasy/decorative piece that’s meant to evoke medieval and renaissance daggers. [Here’s a pretty comprehensive video about methods to wear daggers in those time periods.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=79qheU3I8uE) But most of them require a leather layer on the scabbard that straps and cordage can be slid through.
Another option is to use a non-permanent method, a “frog” that functions somewhat like a modern holster to hold the scabbard and provide loops for a belt. This sort of thing is very common at LARPS and ren faires, and there are plenty of makers who make [various adjustable dagger frogs, like this one.](https://www.medievalcollectibles.com/product/back-hanger-dagger-frog/?_gl=1*165qlq1*_up*MQ..*_gs*MQ..&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsuPvjvy0kgMVwi1ECB0J_jttEAAYASAAEgJ1mPD_BwE&gbraid=0AAAAADvMvqY_8uSPAgEQEo0Xmxhz6aakd)

Brother you literally said you’re new to this so idk why these guys are coming at you crazy. I would say if you really want to carry it because it means something to you, I still wouldn’t. It is poor steel quality and will not hold up to regular use. My advice is to hang/display it and that way it won’t break. If you want to carry a fixed blade then you’d be able to get some good advice from here on what to buy. Scout carrying something that big is for sure gonna get you some unwanted attention unless you’re in the woods. In that case, you’re gonna want something tougher.

This is a sgian dubh (ski an du) which is small Scottish knife, this one in particular is for display/ ceremonial use only and is made of low quality steel, usually dull, won’t keep an edge and can break easily. It is supposed to be worn in the top of your kilt hose aka your socks. Only the dirk aka your long dagger should be worn on your belt. If you are dead set on wearing it on a belt for fantasy use, I suppose you could make a leather or suede pouch for it to stick out of.
