What is this discolouration and are there ways to remove?

   I don’t think they know the blade is coated

   What specific model knife is this and where did you buy it? It looks like the maker coated the blade but unsure who coats “S35VN”?

   The blade has a coating. The “discoloration” is the coating wearing away from use.

   The only way to “remove” the discoloration is to remove the coating.

   To remove coating, I use Citristrip, usually in a plastic bag overnight.

   If you want it to be “back to new”…you can’t. It’s wear from use.
