The light is brand new, charged the battery in the light using USB-C. Turned it on, flood modes are fine, throw mode was fine, then I hit turbo, and a purple spot appeared instantly in the middle of the hot spot. It's still there in lower modes now, so I suspect it overdrove the emitter and burned off phosphor in the middle.

This light is a China exclusive, ordered through Neal's Gadgets, so the usual good warranty is not going to apply. This is sad. Such is life.

Is there a black spot on the emitter when off? If it looks fine then it’s not burning the phosphor but saturating it, causing more of its own emitted light to be re-absorbed instead of being emitted out.

Message Neal. See what he says. Won’t hurt.
