This is just a discussion. Feel free to partake. I personally find the dagger blade shape NEARLY useless. The don’t chop, cut or slice well. They pierce but the tip is relatively fragile. They can be more dangerous in edc usage than single edges, & the list goes on. However, I do not leave home without it for the same reason I never leave home without my pew pew. The dagger blade shape to me excels as arguably the best shape for 1 very unlikely scenario. It’s an essential personal protection wea… that I hope I never need. Along side it, I always carry 1 or 2 practical-ish blade(s). What thought do ya’ll have on d/e or dagger blades? less

They look cool, but rarely find their way into my pocket. That being said, my lifestyle rarely involves getting into knife fights 🤷♂️
I hate clip points and trailing points. Anything with a high tip really. Unless I’m skinning animals which is very rare, I don’t particularly have a use for them. Also drop points are really boring to me.

With you a hundred percent. I wouldn’t say *useless* as it will cut just about anything just fine but it certainly doesn’t excel at really much of anything besides fun factor.
I always carry something more standard as well for those jobs where this just really isn’t a great choice.
