Last year I joined your community because of how committed you are to your hobby. I love the beam shots and the data you all collect and the mods you make.
A couple months ago I got an Oclip because of a post I saw here. I know how you guys feel about sealed batteries (and the backwards clip) but, it’s kinda floody, kinda throwy, it’s got a uv and fits in my pocket. I bought it to gawk at my rock collection, but it’s turned out to be pretty handy.
This weekend I was having trouble with my boiler and my home got pretty cold. I had to do some emergency maintenance on the oil pump and that little uv light was nothing short of amazing while tracking down an oil leak. Turns out diesel fuel glows real bright under uv and so do leaky fittings and the drips they make.
If it weren’t for r/flashlight I wouldn’t know something like this existed.
