Got the Convoy M2 exactly 1 month ago (yes it was a Christmas present for myself) and it has been a blast to use.

Short review:

It is very nice in the hand and has some good weight to it. It is very bright and throws really far for the particular led I selected. It will fit in most pockets. As a general use flashlight/edc, I would highly recommend.

Longer review:

First impressions out of the box were great. The a anodizing is very thick and nice feeling (very similar to the anodizing on the TD01c but slightly more matte and more brown, definitely type III) and it has a brownish hew to it. The only dissapointing thing is the anodizing on the tail cap is a bit thinner and slightly more blue, but oh well 🤷‍♀️

Very first use I swapped the tail rubber from one of my broke lux pro lights in (much nicer, thicker and more durable feeling, and I had a forward switch installed and the nub on the original was cut off not very) which improved sensitivity a bit and overall niceness when operating. The forward switch is a bit hard to press imo but to each his own (not very easy to accidentally activate which could be a good thing)

I selected the SFT25r in 5000k and swapped in an op reflector for a better beam profile and none of those annoying onion rings that come with the smo reflector. The tint is a off yellow whiteish color on lower modes but once in 35% mode it gets a better hew becoming more rosy as the current increases.

As you could probably tell from the pictures, I have dropped it several times (once from 3 feet the same day I got it). It has held up very well to being flung out of my pocket onto concrete while I was running. One thing to note is the stainless bezel is not the most durable and deformed slightly and compounded with the dend in the side of the head, it is significantly harder to remove. The anodizing held up as expected and with a sanding sponge it smoothed out pretty well.

If you have done any extended reasurch on this particular light you have probably heard of waterproofing issues especially around the bezel. However, in my experience, if you crank the bezel as hard down as it goes, water does not get in. I dropped it into my pool (about 3+ ish feet) for about 2 minute and there was no water ingress. For general and slightly harder duty use, the waterproofing shoukd not be an issue.

For brightness I would say it makes around 1600 lumens but I lack any professional testing equipment to verify for a fact. It makes about 80,000± candela, which again, I cannot verify due to no proper testing equipment, but it does visibility throw 300m without issues. The 8 amp driver does need a high discharge cell to get maximum preformance. The beam shots provided were taken with a moslty charged Samsung 25r. One thing to note is it does get hot, and rather quickly, on high. I have never run it long enough for thermal regulation to kick in so I cannot provide exact temperature measurements but it is very warm when holding, borderline uncomfortable (sure does work as a hand warmer when it is cold outside).

Overall, I would say it is a phenomenal flashlight for the price (under $25 usd without battery). If you are looking for another flashlight to get, whether you need it or not, I would strongly recommend.

This flashlight has my stamp of approval, besides the pocket clip which is very stiff and hard to use on thicker pockets.

Which pocket clip did you buy? The one I picked up is kind of loose on the M21B
